The U-tube manometer is a simple but effective way of monitoring whether a radon sump system is operating*. The easy-to-read manometer contains non-toxic fluid and reads the pressure within the sump exhaust pipework, from 0" to 4.5" WC. When the fan is running and the sump is operational, the reading should be above 0. If the liquid on both sides is level (at 0), the system is not operating and requires attention.
This manometer comes complete with a conversion kit to enable it to be used both indoors and outside, and can be installed at the time of mitigation works or retrofitted to existing systems.
*Please note that the manometer does not measure radon levels
